Description of Tour D: Phuket - Khao Sok–Phang Nga PDF

Phuket – The pearl of the south

Phuket is situated 850 km (500 miles) south of Bangkok at the Andaman Sea. Its surface area of 543 square kilometers makes it Thailand’s largest island. Some of Thailand’s most famous and beautiful beaches line its western coast. Along the east side, visitors are intrigued by rubber plantations, rice paddies, mangroves, small towns and fishing villages. Stunning sand beaches, dense virgin forests, solitary bays and superb cycling routes, as well as all kinds of entertainments catering to every taste make Phuket a vacationer's dreams.

The island is connected to the mainland by the Sarasin Bridge. Phuket International Airport is a large modern facility with excellent connections to Asia and Europe.
