1st stage: Hua Hin–Prachuap Khiri Khan, 113 km (70 miles), flat (run training on the stunning seaside promenade, Lecture on training and nutrition)

After breakfast we ride the first 13 km (8 miles) on the main road, and then continue cycling on smooth rural roads. Initially, shrimp farms shape the country side. We then cross the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and head towards the quiet town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. We arrive on the seaside promenade, and continue to our hotel located directly by the sea.

You’ll find a beautiful hilltop Buddhist temple with many monkeys close by. In the evening, we have the opportunity to enjoy thehotel's mouth – watering buffet, included in the price.

2nd stage: Prachuap Khiri Khan–Chumphon, 200 km (124 miles), gently rolling (swim training)

The first 20 km (12 miles) we ride along good side roads and then continue on the main road. We leave this road and ride the last 15 km (9 miles) on side roads to the secret beach of Haad Ban Krut.

Always riding near the Gulf of Thailand, we pass many plantations, rice paddies and palm tree groves. The beach of Ao Thung Wua Laen is our finishing point for the day and is located 15 km (9 miles) outside of Chumphon.

3rd stage: Chumphon–Ranong, 140 km (88 miles), rolling (relaxation in the Hot Spa)

After 16 km (10 miles) we arrive in Chumphon, the capital of the province. The road then gets a bit steeper and more technical as we go past exotic fruit orchards and tall palm trees with fan like tops. On the way we can taste the local Dim Sum specialities. We pass the Isthmus of Kra, the narrowest part of the Malaysian peninsular.

Ranong is located on the Indian Ocean. Here we check in to the hotel, which offers Hot Spa/Thermal pools and a swimming pool. The thermal waters are widely known for their healing effects. We can unwind in the hot water pool or in the outside pool, or at the wellness facility for a well-earned massage.

4th stage: Ranong–Kuraburi, 127 km (78 miles), rolling (run training around the picturesque lake, question and answer session with Jurgen)

We start with an easy ride on flat roads, with stunning sights in the rain forest. There is always something to see, whether it is monkeys jumping around the treetops or elephants clearing the undergrowth. The last miles of our stage are an upward climb to our hotel, located like an oasis in the middle of the jungle.

The beautiful resort is set in a splendid garden with a little lake and a swimming pool inviting us for a refreshing bath. Let the feeling of the evergreen rain forest sink in. The delicious lakeside Thai dinner buffet is included. After dinner, Jurgen will answer your questions in a q & a session.

5th stage: Kuraburi–Phuket, 160 km (100 miles), rolling / flat

Our final stage begins with a downhill ride, which then leads us through rubber plantations, coconut groves and little villages. After Takuapa we reach the Andaman Sea. After 130 km (80 miles) we cross the famous Sarasin Bridge, and reach Thailand's biggest island.

The exciting journey finally ends at the Siam Bike Tours Shop in Choeng Thale (Laguna). Proud of the achieved, but with a little melancholy that this rich in experience road bike tour is already over, we lift our glasses with a refreshing drink to propose a toast to the tour.
